Normally, I'm not the biggest fan of zoos. There's something about animals in cages, and especially predators in cages, which depresses me. But I do love Kristiansand Zoo. Not only because I get to see animals which normally would be shot on sight around here, but because the animals seem content. Or, as content as born hunters can be without the hunt.
This has to do with the size of their habitats, and their ability to hide from human eyes. Many have visited this zoo without seeing the wolf. Or the lynx. Or the wolverine. To see them may actually require time and patience. More here: http://beyondatravelogue.blogspot.com/2010/03/30-eyes-of-tiger.html

Heh. That rhymes.
Next: The last shots from the day at the zoo, and the main reason why I visit - the wolves.

69. A day at the zoo: Close-ups.
And, last but not least, a few portraits of my beautiful travel companion to the zoo, Mimoza Hasani.
The last two were taken the day after the day at the zoo, through some rose bushes.
As usual, you can click on the images for larger views. |
