147. Winter's end.

Ink and wash on paper.
Out from the creek's mouth, the ice gradually gets thinner, and - where the pond's ice is covered by snow - there regularly comes powerful bangs from below.

It is Spring which is knocking, with large, sun-heated hands.

145. Painting the town white.

You may remember this--

-- which started as a part of the pencil sketch below. Here comes the full version, and now it's snowing.

Note that the small, and not especially practically placed island in
the middle of the bay, makes its first and last appearance here.

From the upcoming graphic novel Two Deaths For Odin.

144. The future is now.

I've finally crawled out of the cave where I've been hiding since late December, and imagine my surprise when I realized the world was still in one piece!

Just kidding, of course. But I do feel for you people who believed in the Mayan doomsday, skipping all your bills in December - maybe even got yourself a large loan or credit you never intended to pay back. Welcome to 2013.

This year, in addition to getting my animation project Wolf's Blues into production, the plan is to finish the Pia Zawa story Two Deaths For Odin, and get it published. This means you won't be able to read it here, since very few of you would buy something you could read for free. (You guys have to wait for it on the Pirate Bay, I guess.) I haven't posted anything from this story since last summer anyhow, so it probably won't be a big loss. What you will get, however, are sketches--

-- pin-ups--

-- and other finished art from the story. Some of it will contain spoilers, though.

I also plan to finish the Funky Muzak-series--

-- and the The Frogman's journey through the Neverending Forest will be back here on The Travelogue--

-- together with the usual photos and stuff.

It looks like it's going to be a busy year...
